Where PROMETEY has worked

Here we publish real surveys - the object, the task, the solution and the outcome. The section grows as cases are cleared with our clients.

From the field

The vehicle in action

Real deployments and surveys: ports, ship hulls, field launches and portability.

Real projects

Who we worked with and where

Hydropower plants, Caspian platforms, ports, bridges, gas crossings, ship hulls, scientific and environmental projects. Below are real surveys with PROMETEY vehicles.

Hydropower · dam

Pavlovskaya HPP dam inspection

Task
Inspect the underwater part of the dam for cracks, damage and leaks. Check intake structures, assess concrete and steel corrosion, and monitor the bed.
Conditions
Poor visibility, confined and hazardous zones. Over 1600 sq m surveyed (both headwater and tailwater).
Outcome
Digital defect logging with georeferencing. Survey cost and time cut 3-5x versus traditional methods.

Oil & gas · Caspian platform

Filanovsky platform monitoring (LUKOIL)

Task
Instrument monitoring of the underwater infrastructure of an ice-resistant fixed platform: base structures, pipelines, mounting units.
Conditions
Caspian Sea. High-precision acoustic positioning (Russian USBL analogue) tied to coordinates and depth.
Outcome
A 3D model of the site and seabed was built to analyse erosion and shifts. Fouling, wear and scour zones were identified.

Gas infrastructure · river crossings

Underwater gas crossings (Gazprom Orel)

Task
Technical inspection of underwater gas lines crossing rivers: cracks, leaks, deformation and corrosion, and gas-leak risk assessment.
Conditions
Three crossings over the Orlik and Oka rivers. Gas analysers, magnetometers and side-scan sonar were used to map the bed.
Outcome
A digital map of the crossings was produced; fouling, erosion and bed changes were logged and foreign objects checked for.

Transport · railway bridge

Railway bridge piers during flood (Russian Railways)

Task
Inspect the underwater piers of a railway bridge during flood season: piles and fairings, damage and deformation, anti-corrosion coating, and bed condition under the piers.
Conditions
Difficult flood hydrology. Full-depth inspection with optical zoom on welds and anchors.
Outcome
Fast, safe diagnostics without divers. A digital report with georeferencing and a video archive was delivered.

Port · hydraulic structures

Olya Sea Port quays

Task
Instrumental and visual survey of the underwater part of quay and adjacent hydraulic structures, assessing condition, residual life and defects.
Conditions
About 650 sq m surveyed. Reinforced-concrete and steel structures, anchor and fastening elements.
Outcome
An engineering report with photo/video evidence was produced; the bed was checked for debris and sunken equipment.

Port · incident survey

Quay after vessel impact (Alvari Rus)

Task
Assess a quay's underwater and above-water condition after a large vessel impact: deformation and repair feasibility.
Conditions
Emergency case. Displacements and damage measured with video markers and 3D modelling; piles, grillages and supports assessed.
Outcome
A report with repair-or-demolish recommendations was produced, suitable for insurance and expert assessment.
Fleet · ship hull

Ship hull diagnostics without docking (Akvaspetsservis)

Task
Assess a ship hull's underwater condition without dry-docking and with minimal downtime: damage, corrosion, propellers, rudders, valves.
Conditions
Hull area 600-800 sq m. Inspection of propellers, rudder, shafts, bottom valves and intakes.
Outcome
Anti-corrosion protection was assessed, wear and fouling logged. The ship stayed in service.

Aquaculture · sturgeon farm

Sturgeon farm diagnostics (Astrakhanskaya Fishka)

Task
Full diagnostics of tank infrastructure and ecosystem: bed and wall inspection, water-quality control, feeding-zone monitoring, and supply/drain pipe checks.
Conditions
Enclosed artificial tanks. pH, oxygen, turbidity, chlorophyll and organics sensors were used.
Outcome
Circulation and filtration were checked; biologists were supported with video for husbandry analysis.
Industry · support structures

Support structures of Dagdizel plant

Task
Full assessment of the plant's underwater support structures and adjacent water area, including a search for hazardous foreign objects.
Conditions
Instrument measurement of residual thickness and wear, detailed photo/video with coordinate and depth tagging.
Outcome
Concrete structures were checked for cracks, corrosion and scour; sunken objects were found and identified.
Science · research centre pier

Pier eco-diagnostics (Shirshov Institute, Gelendzhik)

Task
Engineering and ecological diagnostics of pier structures with a combined technical and environmental assessment of the coastal area.
Conditions
Pile and foundation survey logging defects and biofouling, plus bed-surface diagnostics.
Outcome
A 3D model of the surveyed areas was produced with coordinate tagging and video.

Expedition · underwater archaeology

Russian Geographical Society Caspian expedition, 2025

Task
Search, survey and documentation of WWII-era shipwrecks and military infrastructure in the north-western Caspian Sea.
Conditions
Magnetometers and side-scan sonar were used, with initial visual survey and photo/video capture.
Outcome
3D reconstruction with coordinate referencing was done, object preservation assessed and damage/boundary maps compiled.
Environment · spill monitoring

Oil-spill monitoring (Marine Rescue Service)

Task
Rapid detection, localisation and spread assessment of oil products in coastal waters, with sampling and lab analysis.
Conditions
Multi-parameter water sensors (temperature, turbidity, oil products, heavy metals). AI algorithms for contamination recognition.
Outcome
Contamination maps were built and data streamed to the ground station in real time. During trials off Anapa with the Marine Rescue Service, about 2 tonnes of fuel oil were collected.
