Russian Geographical Society Caspian expedition

PROMETEY vehicles were used to locate and document WWII-era wrecks and objects in the north-western Caspian Sea, using magnetometers, side-scan sonar and 3D reconstruction.

Dmitry Medvedev tested PROMETEY at Startup Village

At Startup Village 2025, the Smelcom Robotics team presented the PROMETEY underwater robot. Dmitry Medvedev, Deputy Chairman of Russia's Security Council, personally tested the vehicle and noted its clear controls and simple, convenient interface.

PROMETEY collected about 2 tonnes of fuel oil off Anapa

The vehicle was field-tested off Anapa with the Marine Rescue Service and proved effective at pollution response, collecting about 2 tonnes of fuel oil from the water area.

PROMETEY digital twin for operator training

A digital twin of the vehicle was built - a simulator that dynamically reflects environmental parameters and trains operators without risk to equipment or people.

Work on the PROMETEY underwater vehicles has run since 2019, producing several generations of the robot - from the first prototypes to an industrial system ready for serial production.
