Underwater-technical survey of hydroelectric-plant structures

GOST R 70750-2023 sets the standards, the equipment requirements and a template statement-of-work form for hydroelectric-plant structures. PROMETEY is engineered to meet these requirements.

Regulatory basis

The standard is titled, literally, “Hydroelectric power plants. Hydraulic engineering structures. Underwater-technical survey…”. In it, Annex A is the template statement-of-work form, Annex V the equipment requirements, and clause 5.2 the timing and frequency.

Documents
  • GOST R 70750-2023 (Rosstandart order No. 493-st of 10.07.2023)
  • Annex A - template statement-of-work form
  • Annex V - equipment requirements
  • RD EO 0570-2004 - for nuclear-plant hydraulic structures
Assets

What PROMETEY inspects

Upstream face of the dam
Spillways, intakes, lining
Upstream and downstream pools, scour, sediment
Adjoining stretches of unlined riverbed
Gates, slots, guides
Trash racks and fish-protection devices
Honest about the limits

Hydropower means the harshest conditions. The key parameter is the permissible current in the head/tail race (clarified per site). Contact inspection and repair remain a diver's job.

Questions

Does the vehicle comply with Annex V of GOST R 70750-2023?

We prepare a line-by-line compliance table against the standard for your specific site: which clauses an ROV survey covers and which require a diver or other methods.

Does it work during a water release?

We operate in currents up to roughly 2 knots; beyond that, station-keeping accuracy drops - assessed per site.
