Underwater-robot inspection of berthing structures
A berth is not shut down for divers. PROMETEY works between ship calls: one operator, five minutes to deploy, no diving station on the quay edge.
Regulatory basis
A berth is a structure of elevated responsibility class. The requirements are set by Federal Law 117-FZ and Rostekhnadzor's Federal Norms & Rules. The result is a report following the form of order No. 497.

Contact inspection, sheet-pile thickness gauging and repair remain a diver's job. The vehicle covers visual survey, defect search, documentation and depth checks.
Questions
Do cargo operations have to be stopped?
No. A launch point and an agreed time window are enough. The vehicle needs no diving station on the quay edge.
Can design depths be confirmed?
Yes - the vehicle can be fitted with sonar (echo sounder / profiler) when needed; measured depths are checked against the design values.
